Packing Bins Procedure for Events

  • Ellen has placed pictures on all bin lids showing how the bins should be packed. This layout allows her to quickly see everything in the bins, making it easier for her to restock or identify missing items.

Reminder: Please make sure to pack the bins according to the pictures at the end of each event. This helps maintain organization and efficiency.

Thank you for your attention to this detail!

Truck Reminders:

  • The code for the combination locks on HH vehicles

    • 2344

  • Please be sure to secure all equipment with bungee cords on the truck.

    • To prevent damage to equipment:

      • Ensure all dryers are tightly bungeed.

      • Make sure all presses are resting flat, NOT slanted resting on a bolt.

  • The safer you make the truck, the better!

  • Try to keep heaviest items near the back of the cargo area or over the axle.

Setup Order of Operations:

  1. Find client/venue provided items like:

    1. Power

    2. Stanchions

    3. Tables

  2. Determine layout

  3. Tablecloth all of the tables (dryer table(s) first).

  4. Place dryer(s) on the table and turn on.

  5. Put bins in their respective areas (greeter, printer, dryer)

  • Do not put anything under the table unless we are completely done with it.

  1. Put bins under their respective table for easy access if needed during the event.

Greeter Reminders:

*Write Legibly

  • Make sure to write clearly on stickers and form pads to avoid any misprints.

  • For leather stamping, double-check with the customer verbally and visually to ensure you have the correct letters they want.

*Screen Printing:

  • Write legibly so the dryers can easily give the shirt to the right person at the end of the process.

  • Place the sticker under the tag sideways. This prevents it from getting in the way of the printers and ensures it does not get too hot in the dryer.

  • If you notice guest initials repeating, ask for all 3.

*Tag Placement:

  • Place the tags of the shirts facing the side of the table where you will be, so you can quickly see the sizes and get the right shirt for the guest

*Mannequin Sizes

  • When displaying the mannequins - the following size works best for each type:

    • Small for the lady

    • Medium for the man

Greeter Teardown Order of Operations:

  1. Give your lead any pre-prints

  2. Counter any remaining product that is left on the table (put out)

Printer Reminders:

*Screen Tear Down Procedure for Events

  • To ensure that Grace can reclaim screens in-house efficiently, it is crucial that all printers follow the proper tear down procedure at the end of events.

  • Here are the steps to follow:

    • Front of Screens: Carefully remove all regular masking tape from the front of the screens.

    • Underneath Screens: Ensure that all orange masking tape is removed from underneath the screens.

      • This tape is designed to blend in with the orange emulsion, so please check thoroughly.

      • Take a wipe to the blurb at the bottom to remove ink.

    • Scrape off as much ink from inside the screen as possible without getting any into the design area.

    • Ensure that any ink that made it to the metal sides is wiped off.

*Above and Beyond Diligence for Printers:

  • If you notice a build-up of t-shirt fuzz and spray tack on the press body (where you put the platen) or on the off contact screw, you can use a wipe and/or googone to keep that clean.

    • This will make off-contact adjustments easier for the next person.

  • If you see that there is a pinhole in the mesh that has not been circled, then you can take a piece of masking tape and write “pinhole” and place it on the frame somewhere so that Grace can be made aware when the screen gets back to the studio.

*Totes

  • Make sure totes going through the dryer are lying as flat as possible to avoid smoking.

  • Also make sure that the straps are tucked underneath so they do not interfere with the products coming through behind it as the dryer takes it off.

Printer Teardown Order of Operations:

  1. Scrape excessive ink off of squeegees and screens

  2. Wipe down squeegees with ink degrader

  3. Remove all tape - masking and orange

  4. Replace screens (mesh side up) in screen bins.

  5. Wipe down:

    1. Trashcans

    2. Wipe containers

    3. Ink scrapers

    4. Ink containers

  6. Remove platen tape

  7. Tighten all knobs on the bottom of the platen(s).

  8. Unclamp press(es) and put them on the ground so the tablecloth will be easy to remove.

  9. Roll up the craft paper with any trash and throw it away.

Teardown Order of Operations:

  1. Pull everything out from under the tables

  • See section of respective role for detailed teardown instructions

1. Presses:

   - Load presses first.

   - Ensure they’re not resting on bolts to prevent them from falling off.

2. Truck Bins:

   - Place truck bins on the second shelf in the very back of the truck.

   - Bins are clearly labeled on both sides for easy identification.

3. Swag Bar Sign and Poles:

   - Place the sign on the top shelf above the truck bins.

   - Secure the poles in the far back right corner using bungee cords.

4. Dryers on skates:

   - Two dryers on skates are always on the truck as standard.

   - If used for an event, place them back on skates and secure them side by side in the back right corner with bungee cords.

   - Fit them behind the two dryers on skates. It’s fine for them to rest on the dryer belts.

8. Dryer on Red Cart:

   - Place this dryer in front of the stanchions.

   - Ensure the back left wheel of the cart fits behind the wheel well of the truck for security.

9. Remaining Bins:

10. Silver Carts:

   - Bungee in the two silver carts on the side walls at the front of the truck.
