Beyond the Swag: How Hip Hues Reimagined Registration for Capital One

When you think of "event registration," you usually think of long lines, lanyards, and a long walk to the ballroom. But for the recent #LightItUp event with @CapitalOne, we decided to turn the "check-in" into a "check-out-this-jacket" experience.

The Activation
We kicked things off at registration with a custom denim jacket station. Instead of a standard gift bag, attendees got to engage with our team to create a piece of apparel they’d actually want to wear long after the conference ended.
We kept that momentum going all the way to the closing afterparty, where our live T-shirt bar became a hub for networking, dancing, and (of course) fresh ink.
The "WOW" Factor
While we pride ourselves on high-quality prints, the real magic is in the people. Devon Buesking-Walshe from Capital One shared some kind words that truly warmed our hearts:
"The product was fantastic... but the entire staff was my 'WOW' factor. Each member of the team was engaging, professional, brought great energy, and was truly a pleasure to work with... Due to this activation, our people networked, stuck around, chatted, enjoyed the bar, made a jacket, and registration became part of the event itself."
Why Experience Matters
In a world of digital events, the physical experience is what sticks. By bringing the "swag" to the forefront, Capital One created a space where people didn't just pass through—they stayed, they connected, and they created.
Huge thanks to the Capital One team for being such a "treat" to work with. We’re still buzzing from the energy!
